This intimate exhibition (May 20 - September 10) places artworks by Swiss-born modernist Paul Klee (1879–1940) alongside dazzling paintings by San Francisco artist and designer Rex Ray (1956–2015). Although separated by both time and place, their works share stunning formal similarities, including an exploration of geometric forms, the use of vibrant color, and playful, organic designs.

Incorporating unique creations from New Zealand world-acclaimed design and sustainability champion David Trubridge; the Nightlights is New Zealand’s first design-led tourism experience.
The new night-time experience will offer visitors and locals the opportunity to explore Rotorua’s majestic Redwood forest under the shroud of darkness; illuminated by Trubridges’ bespoke creations to create an immersive and captivating environment.
Watch as David Trubridge Studio's team of makers construct one of their most time consuming works, Flow Bench. American Ash (chosen for its sustainable credentials) is steamed for a precise duration and laced over shaped Hoop Pine frames. The result is a flowing myriad of lines evoking rivers or hills.
SAMAD Rugs has released two new additions to their eye-catching Rex Ray Collection. Each rug is crafted with the finest wools and hand-knotted in Jaipur India by master weavers. Inspired by fashion, pop culture and mid-century modernist style, Rex Ray’s captivating designs are simply “art for the floor.”
